First of all, we are going to talk about Baitul Mukarram Mosque, which is the largest mosque in the city and located in the north of Dhaka stadium.It is built on the pattern of the Kaba Sharif having a fascinating interior.It has a large lawn, garden, and fountains along with a high platform. Lalbagh Fort which is also popular as the Fort of Aurangabad was built in 1678 AD by Mohammad Azam, the prince, and son of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.So, basically, it is a triple story structure consisted of the stunning monuments such as Tomb of Pari Bibi(Fairy lady), Hammam khana(bathing place) of Nawab Shaista khan which is now a museum and audience room.So, history lovers will find here much more which they want.
Mukti Juddha museum is a place of a huge collection of ancient and rare photographs of liberation war and it also contains the articles used by the freedom fighters.It opens for the visitors at 9 am to 6 pm from Monday to Saturday but on Sunday it is closed. Furthermore, National Zoo is located in Mirpur at the distance of 20 km from the center of Dhaka just near the river Turag.Here, You will see the huge collection of animals and birds including the local and foreign species.
